Bybee Technologies was founded by Jack Bybee, a lifelong tinkerer with a background in physics, electronics, cars, and music. As a young man he was building transistor radios from scratch. After serving in the military and earning his degree in physics, Jack worked in several technical fields and even owned an automotive performance shop—always chasing better speed, better sound, and better engineering.
Like many music lovers, Jack wasn’t satisfied with “good enough.” His training as a physicist made him sensitive to the effect of very low-level noise on audio signals. He became focused on quantum noise—subtle 1/f noise generated as electrons move through conductors—which can mask ambience, collapse soundstage depth, and reduce natural timbre and dynamics.
